Enough Already!
I’m getting really tired of Lucy being sick. And when I say tired, I don’t just mean “fed up”. I mean “exhausted”. Seriously. I am fried from the sleepless nights. It seems like December was one long series of bad nights (between jet lag and illness). The girl has just gotten back on her feet and then came down with something again yesterday.
G and I had a night out planned. While in the car driving to the friends’ house where she was to spend the evening, the vomit started. I’ll spare you the gory details. Suffice it to say, there was a lot of clean up and laundry involved. We took turns being up with her throughout the night. This is after several poor nights of sleep earlier in the week. She seems mostly OK today. She’s had a fair bit of breastmilk and it has all stayed down. She’s also in the midst of a HUGE nap. If only I could nap for 3 hours, as I sorely need the rest!
Ah well, according to our doctor, there is a 24-hour bug going around. So the plus side is, she should be A-OK in time to ring in her second year. That’s right, Lucy’s big birthday is Monday! Cross you fingers that she’s healthy and mom and dad get some rest.
